Check which country your Steam wallet uses
Steam shows the store country in your account details, and it has to match the card.
Steam wallet codes only add funds when the code's country matches your Steam store country.
Where to look
- Open Steam and click your name, then Account details.
- Under Store & Purchase History, find Country.
That's the country your wallet works in. Buy a Steam card for the same country.
If it's the wrong country
Steam changes your store country when you buy with a payment method from another country, and it can take a while to settle. Don't buy a card for a country you're hoping to move to; buy for the one showing today.
