What is an account region?

This is the single most important thing to get right.

A gift card is tied to a country. The card knows nothing about where you are; it only works on an account registered in the same country as the card.

An example

You live in Harare. Your PlayStation account was created with South Africa as the country. You need a South Africa PlayStation card, not a US one.

Where we use it

• The region chip at the top of the page sets what you see.
• Every card shows the country it's for.
• We compare the two and warn you when they don't match.
• At checkout you confirm the region before paying.
